Hola como están... tengo una duda acerca de como decir... "Me gustaría parecerme a mi papá cuando tenga 50 años"

no estoy seguro si está correcto decir... "I´d like to look like my dad when I have 50"...

y no se si decir "to look like", o "to be like"

Agradecería cualquier ayuda.

Gracias. grin

Yo diría.

  • I'd like to be just like my dad when I am 50 or,
  • I'd like to be like my dad when I am 50.

I am assuming you want to be like your dad, not just physically, but also the way he is as a person.

Paracer can mean to look like, to resemble, physically or figuratively, so you are good on that one.

I'm not sure about the direct object or the preposition, though.

How about, Me gustaría parecerme a mi papá cuando tenga 50 años. Here parecer means resemble and could be either physical looks or behavior.

If you want to write it that way, you must say. "Me gustaría parecerme a mi papà..." - farallon7, Jan 9, 2012
