Trisa, ramonist Spanish person makes no sense. Please edit your statement. - Yeser007, Oct 14, 2011
I had to edit it. We had one non-native confused already, and I don't want any others to get confused. - SonrisaDelSol, Oct 14, 2011
Perhaps Sonrisa but Trisa should be moderating his own thread, don't you thhink? - Yeser007, Oct 14, 2011
How do you win this game? Who is judging "randomness"? Which definition of "Random" are we going by?? - pesta, Oct 14, 2011
Why hasn't trisa played the first (or any!) round? Good game, though! I've learned a few words! - pesta, Oct 14, 2011
I think "ramonist" takes the win. Hehe ;) - EL_MAG0, Oct 15, 2011
I don't get this game! - Gillygaloo, Oct 15, 2011

So, the title asks for random words, but the body of the original post mentions the most random person? It doesn't take too much to confuse me, Trisa, and you've done it. wink

Anyway, here's a Spanish word.

Murciélago

I think it's quite a cool word because apparently it can legitimately be spelled (and presumably spoken) as:

Murciégalo.

Link doesn't want to work

Anyway, both versions are in the RAE.

Pesta, don't tell me you know shorthand, too?? Unfortunately, I needed to learn it because my handwriting is so slow. :-( - territurtle, Oct 14, 2011
No, I never learned it. My own handwriting is not far from this, though. :) I did once know Morse Code... - pesta, Oct 15, 2011

I don't even know the English word here, Terri! :) - galsally, Oct 15, 2011
It is used in mathematics to describe a "random process." - territurtle, Oct 15, 2011
Thanks Terri, I didn't recognise the English word either. - MaryMcc, Oct 15, 2011
I had a math course in "stochastic processes" in engineering. It was one of my favorite math courses, although I remember quite little of it now. - pesta, Oct 15, 2011
