"Hand in hand"

Question

This phrase is causing me many problems!

Family and love go hand in hand.

Familia y amor son tomados de la mano

I'm not sure how to properly express something going hand in hand. I also am doubting my omitting of definite articles before familia and amor.

I appreciate any help and corrections. Muchas gracias!

La familia y el amor van juntos de la mano is what I would say. Although "van juntos uno y otro" would probably work too.

"Hand in hand"

Has many uses in English most of which are not in our Phrasebook.

Does English have more of this type of expression than Spanish? (any opinions?)

I think you just want to say "La familia está asociado al amor." Because you're saying hand in hand, as in related right? I don't know if there's an equivalent idiom in Spanish.
