It could be bad or not bad. What's the website giving the warning?

Programs written in JavaScript are all over the internet. Plenty are harmless, but I suppose some may potentially contain some sort of malware. Only download things from websites you trust. What online radio program is it?

vivoenvivo.info - but I blew it; it´s twitter that asks for that program! - bassagui, Sep 10, 2011
Weird. I've never been asked to download anything to use Twitter. - MacFadden, Sep 10, 2011
Hadn´t happened to me either, but I may have deleted the program by mistake :-( - bassagui, Sep 10, 2011

JavaScript is not a program you have to download and install, rather it is a script programming language that some other application (like a web browser) must interpret.

Every major web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc) can interpret JavaScript, but they also all have the option of disabling JavaScript since it does present a potential security problem. I guess you have somehow disabled it -- either on purpose or on accident.

Whether to enable or disable JavaScript is entirely up to you. So, I don't wanna persuade you to do one or the other.

If you want to enable it, just type your browser's name followed by the words "enable javascript" into youtube's search bar. (Example: "firefox enable javascript"). I'm sure there are plenty of videos showing how for each major browser. - webdunce, Sep 10, 2011
Oooppsss! So I just hope the PC Tools Security & antivirus do their job. Wish me luck! - bassagui, Sep 10, 2011

OK I got it:You cannot use the Twitter website without having JavaScript enabled on your web browser. Please re-enable JavaScript and refresh this page. Uufff...

website? vivoenvivo.info - bassagui, Sep 10, 2011
There are many websites that need you to enable javascript. I don't get any warnings visiting either site, but I have javascript enabled. But javascript can does can give viruses and malware a doorway into your computer. That is always a risk, I guess. - webdunce, Sep 10, 2011
Well, thank you so much for the info and warning. I guess I´ll take the risk... - bassagui, Sep 10, 2011
