My Example:
Cuando estuve en la universidad, mis padres me compraron un cactus. Me encantaba ese cactus, y intentaba cultivarlo, pero al fin se me olvidaba regarle, y se murió. Ni siquiera pude cultivar un cactus.
When I was in college, my parents bought me a cactus. I loved that cactus, and I tried to nurture the cactus, but in the end I forgot to water it, and it died. I couldnt even cultivate a cactus. (True story, except the part about loving the cactus.)
