Los números negativos.
I was just flipping through an old Spanish grammar book, and I ran into something I had never seen before having to do with comparing numbers. Of course I have always learned to use "de" before numbers when making comparisons such as: "Tomamos más de ocho botellas de vino tinto". However, this book said that "de" is not used in front of negative numbers, which is something I have never heard. Unfortunately, the book gave no further explanation. I'm assuming you just use "que", but I'm not sure. I was also wondering how to express negative numbers in Spanish. Do you just say "menos once" for "-11"?
Gracias por su tiempo.
