Direct Object Le & Les
Is there a such thing ? I read a Wikipedia article claiming so. With the less than reputable stigma of Wikipedia, I wanted this confirmed. The Verbs Pegar and Golpear seem to use the Le and Les Direct object pronouns. For example: I hit him/her is " Le Pegue", "Le golpeé". Lo/La would appear to fit better. Is this a case of the Le, Les acting as a D.O. ?

This is correct, le and les are object pronouns, in theory only sing/plural for indirect objects.
But here in Spain we use them for persons as direct object, this is an "accepted" mistake, called leísmo, you can read about that on the web![]()
