A couple of years -------------- ago my wife and I took a trip to Hawaii. The plan was to get onboard the ship " Pride of America" in Honolulu on the island of ----Wahu------- --in cruise of -------- the different islands. Unlike the Caribbean, Hawaii is known more for its -blagic??-- sea life than beautiful coral. Some of our scuba diving friends suggested that we do the "---Manari night dive-------------- off the coast of Kona on the big island of Hawaii. Since the ship didn't stay in Kona ---overnight------we had to alter our plans ---in order to----------- dive with these --heinous------ creatures. We solved this problem by adding four days to the trip and staying right on the big island . Once called devil fish by ----ancient Manaris-------- because of their --menacing -------- appearance these magnificent creatures are virtually-------harmless with no defense system other than their massive size, and of course one must be careful not to get into a ---head on------- collision with one. This particular group of rays is accustomed to the large swarm of divers that --frequent the same ------------ area nightly. Since the Manta Ray is a --plankton feeder--------- all a diver needs is a strong light source to attract the minute sea life and the mantas take it from there. Swimming along with their mouths wide open they simply swallow anything that goes into that -gaping cavern--------------. Many of the rays here have names and are identified by --locals------- by the spot patterns on the underside of their bodies. As for size, the biggest on this particular dive is Big Bertha measuring in at --14 feet------ from wing tip to wing tip. Was it worth --altering------our trip plans? -You bet!!---------! Would we do it again? Probably not, there are simply too many other places in the world to visit. Would I recommend it? Most definitely---------------, I think everyone should visit this island paradise at least once.
