Skype Chat for for beginners: Using "if -sentences", using simple present and simple future, or "voy a" future.
Saturday, March 26th,11.30, Spain, Skype Chat for beginners
Please remember that nobody can participate on any group chat without a headset!
For this chat you will need the simple present tense and the future with:
ir a + verb, and future simple,
for example:
(comer)
Voy a comer..
comeré
The idea is to make an if sentence, and the next person picks up on what the other person has said, and makes a new sentence and so on.
If I go to London, I will speak English.
If I speak English, I can go to visit Marianne.
If I visit Marianne, I will meet her husband.
If I meet her husband, he will love me
and so on, jeje
So in Spanish:
Si voy a Londres, voy a hablar inglés.
Si hablo inlgés, puedo visitar a Marianne.
Si visito a Marianne, conoceré a su marido.
Si conozco a su marido, ¡le gustaré mucho!

Each sentence will start with "if" (If I go to Spain) and be followed by the future.
Remember, you can express the future in a few different ways.
? Voy a + infinitive (Voy a comprar)
? Simple future tense (Compraré)
? I can + infinitive (Puedo comprar)
Here are some examples that you can study to prepare for the chat. Each sentence basically says the same thing but in a different manner.
Si (conditional) tengo una manzana voy a (future) comerla.
Si (conditional) tengo una manzana la comeré (future).
Si (conditional) tengo una manzana puedo (in the future) comerla.
Please read the thread carefully, and prepare the sentences indicated by Marianne in her post.
I will expect from everybody to at least be able to use to "voy a + infinitive" structure correctly! (you only have to conjugate the verb "ir")
I am repeating my former post as I saw yesterday that people actually do NOT read the thread.
I would really appreciate if everybody knew what the chat was about. I can spend my time with you guys, what I cannot do, is see that you don't even bother to read the thread and have no idea what we are going to do, as was proven yesterday.
so:
If you have any questions, ask here, we will not allow any questions on the chat itself.
If my health permits
and
If you would have me
and
if I don't chicken out
and
if I can study this a bit
and
if there is still room
then
please sign me up
