Hey! How would you describe the idea of a "back up" of something? Such as plan, method of say birth control, source of power in case of storm, etc?

Also, in English we say "Do you have a Plan B?" to ask if someone has another plan/idea in case things don't work out. Is there a saying like this in Spanish? Thanks.

I use respaldo or alterno. Un plan de respaldo o un plan alterno. Regarding computers, you can also say una copia de respaldo (a back-up copy) o de seguridad (as Otravez pointed out).

Well, the actual translation is, ¿tienes otro plan? but I have no idea whether or not there is a more authentic translation.

Relating specifically to computer operations, "una copia de seguridad" is translated "a back-up copy" I suspect that any noun such as disco or carpeta, with the de seguridad adjective added, would be similar.
