Conditionals, Students of English and Spanish (intermediate to advanced)

6
votes

I created this exercise for fairly advanced students of Spanish.

I will post two sets of sentences.

Finish the sentences with the correct tense, be careful, the three forms of conditional are used. wink

Spanish speaking natives don't do the translations, English speaking natives O N L Y the translationswink

This exercise is not easy, you need complex subjunctive forms, unless you are upper intermediate or advanced level, do not do the translations!

                       CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

1) If you (find) a skeleton in the cellar don't mention it to anyone.

2) If you pass your examination we (have) a celebration.

3) If I press this button what (happen)?

4) If you go to Paris where you (stay)?

5) I would have voted for her if I (have) a vote back then.

6) If someone offered you one of those rings, which you (choose)?

7) If the fog (get) thick the fight may be cancelled.

8) If the milkman (come) tell him to leave two pints.

9) If you leave your glasses there someone (sit) on them.

10) You would play bridge better if you (not talk) so much.

Thanks, Heidita, for all the corrections and smilies!! ;) (Si puedo preguntar, por qué "eligiría" es mejor que "elegiría"? SD dice que es la forma correcta de condicional para "elegir"[?]; No entiendo. Grax.) - Goldie_Miel, Mar 4, 2011
