De/por la mañana?

De/por la mañana?

I've heard both being used, but Is there a rule as to when to use which?

De and por both mean similar things in the context above.. So I was just curious.

Also, I have a couple words that are related to time.. I just was curious about their uses..

ahora

desde

fin

luego

punto

antes

después

hoy

I just wanted to know how these are used. For all these words, do you put the word + de? Because I know some words are used as de +(la)+_____, such as the word semana, de la noche, etc. Will someone save me from my curiosity?? lol
