Negative tú and the present subjunctive
To clarify, did you mean that the negative "tú" command is made by taking the present subjunctive as the root and then just adding an "s" to it?

This is what you find in the conjugation of "hablar in the DRAE.
SUBJUNTIVO
Presente
- hable
- hables
- hable
- hablemos
- habléis / hablen
- hablen

Obviously, you are not going to give yourself a command, but for all other forms, just put "no" in front of the form to which you address your command:
!No hables [tú]!
!No hablemos [nosotros]!
!No hablen [ustedes]!
Are we are talking about the Imperative? Here is a link to some content I have studied in the past.
Oh, I see where this comes from; that other post where Lazarus instructed you to use the Present Subjunctive.
It really is not as complicated and technical as it sounds. Just conjugate your selected verb in present subjunctive, second person, informal, and add a "no" before the verb. Nothing else:
No comiences, no juegues, no veas, no comas, no vayas, no pelees, no molestes, and so forth.
You don't need to add anything to the verb once you find the right conjugation.
Hmm, it is taking the present subjunctive, no idea about the s.
No vayas a comer.
No haga la cama.
No compren la comida.
