Bud Light billboards in SoCal - "¡Ya se armó!"

Budweiser is the #1 beer for Mexicans in SoCal. You see the gardeners stopping at the convenience stores to buy a tall boy after work, and that's what they buy. The billboards are targeting that purchasing group. A lot of the billboards are now in Spanish. I'm not stereotyping, so if you don't live in SoCal, don't disagree with me.

I know what it means in Spanish, but how would you say this in English? "Let's go!" "Let's party!"?

If someone posts "It comes pre-assembled" I'm going to flag them. Be warned. I take beer seriously.

jeje... I can't believe I got the same answer as Bryn's - Tonyriva, Nov 28, 2010
jeje; why did think Corona would be the beer of choice in Southern California? - Brynleigh, Nov 28, 2010
Here in SoCal we say Corona is the Budweiser of Mexico. Apparently Budweiser is the Corona of SoCal. Actually, I've never met a Mexican who drinks Corona. Only the gringos drink that swill. Negro Modelo or Pacifico is much better. - KevinB, Nov 28, 2010
I totally agree with Kevin... in Mexico we cosider Corona as a women's drink. - Myneg, Nov 29, 2010

Bud Light, the official beer of the Mexican National Soccer Team, announced Andrés Guardado, one of Mexico's rising stars, is helping launch the company's new U.S. marketing campaign, "Ya Se Armó." The TV spot debuted during Mexico's friendly match against Iceland on March 24.

"Ya Se Armó" is a fully integrated marketing campaign, scheduled to run through the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. Bud Light's "Here We Go" campaign debuted during Super Bowl XLIV in February 2010 and is centered on the brand's unique ability to elevate good times with friends.

Bud light?... How can that be... I don't see any Mexican, well... the ones living in Mexico drinking that beer - Tonyriva, Nov 28, 2010
Me either. Maybe that's the point of the advertising, trying to sell it. - KevinB, Nov 28, 2010

Oh, good one. The party's on. I like it. - KevinB, Nov 28, 2010
I hope this does not insult any pilgrims. Some of my ancestors came over on the Mayflower and so I guess these guys could be my relatives. jeje - Brynleigh, Nov 28, 2010
That's brilliant. The U.S. was founded by a bunch of religious fundamentalists when they ran out of beer. That's U.S. history in a nutshell. - KevinB, Nov 28, 2010
