Audio book: The Little Prince. Read it in Spanish
Hi everyone! I'll be posting here the links to download each audio reading of the book The Little Prince... You know? It's been quite difficult... there are lots of noises around.. barks, motor cars, people talking... argh... but I think I got a good audio file... I'm sorry if it's not a perfect reading but I did my best... I hope you enjoy it.
Download audio reading from my MSN profile
I made this second post about the same book to keep separated comments or discussion about the listening comprehension from the reading comprehension.
(from webdunce: Actual url is http://cid-96d871369aed2b0e.office.live.com/browse.aspx/Audio libro -El Principito-, and I'm leaving it here for reference, but above link is now clickable. The problem is a glitch in how SpanishDict handles urls with spaces that are entered in posts. One way to work around this issue is to use the tinyurl.com service, which is what I did.)

Chapters 5, 6, 7 and 8 are just ready. I hope you like them
To Izanoni1:
Well about my accent... uhm once I realized that almost everyone in my city made a lot of "vicios del lenguaje" I mean everyone change the sounds, omit sounds and doesn't speak very clear so once I decided I wanted to change the way I spoke and I started changing to become better... after about 8 years I haven't finished yet to fix my Spanish and learning French has had a big influence too in the way I speak Spanish now.

That is very interesting. In my own life I have had a very similar experience with the English language. From the age of about 10 or 12 to about 24, I grew up in what I suppose could be described as a relatively poor, urban community where education was not a primary concern for most of the people that I knew. Moreover, many people seemed to take great joy in trashing (made lots of "vicios del lenguaje") the English language.
Over that time, I picked up many of these same speech patterns, and like you I have spent the last 8 to 10 years trying to rehabilitate my own speech habits. I think my lone saving grace is that I grew up fairly well-read, and never really developed the aversion for reading, learning, thinking, etc that many of my friends growing up did.
Because of this, even though in the company of my friends I often spoke in what could only be considered a base form or dialect of the English language, I still had a basic understanding of "proper" English. Even so, as a result of so many years speaking in this way, I still feel that I am far less eloquent than I could be.
Chapters 9 to 21 are just ready! Sorry for the delay but now I finally have some free days and free time.
It's been a little bit more difficult! But I hope you enjoy it
I know I have really been enjoying them and find them to be very helpful. Thank you so much for all of the time and effort you are putting into this.
Chapter 2 is ready! It's been a little bit more difficult! But I hope you enjoy it

For people who were interested but had trouble with the links, I have corrected all link issues. They are now clickable and take you to the correct pages.
Thanks so much! I hope I can put them on my MP3 player and listen many times. I've read the book in English several times. Your voice is very very clear.
I would like to do the same thing for our English learners, I'll try later!
Morbo, esto ha sido genial, lo he agregado a la "reference section" con tu permiso, en "Learning resources".
Muchas gracias
chapters III and IV are just ready.... I'm sorry but they are not perfect since I'm recording by myself and there are 2 or 3 small mistakes...
See my thread where I'm reading it in English if you wish, I found an easier way (I hope) for people to access it.
Thanks for sharing this Morbo. I have listened to it while reading along. Next I am going to just listen several times.
Thanks for providing this practice material.
What a wonderful contribution. I don't know how it is that I have only just now discovered this thread, but I am so glad that I did. Thanks so much for the time you put into composing these. By the way, would you mind telling me from which part of Mexico (it is Mexico, isn't it?) you get your accent?
Well I've just finished my work. Please let me know what's your favorite chapter and what you liked the best. I'm sorry about some very little and unavoidable mistakes
Thank you. I got it to work today. I am going to enjoy listening while reading along.
