Spanish "crutch" words

Question

Good evening, folks,

I'd like to know what your favourite Spanish crutch word is. I'm talking about those English words like - well ..... y'know ..... okay ..... I mean .... but in Spanish of course.

I tend to say "bueno" a lot. I sometimes use "y..... pues nada....." and sometimes "pueeeees"

What about you?

Bueno, este... yo, hmm, hago un gran esfuerzo por evitar, este, ese tipo de palabras. O sea, hmm, yo creo que, esto... como que no suena bien, ¿sabes?, o sea, este... cuando uno habla, ¿sabes?, tiene que pensar, este... en lo que dice, tu sabes, por ejemplo, que si voy a decir, este... algún concepto, ya sabes, algo concreto, hmm, bueno, como que hay que formar, eh... la idea en la mente, ¿no? antes de hablar, ¿verdad?, para que todo quede bien claro.

En fin, es decir, yo espero que esto quede, o sea, bien claro, pues. ¿okey?

Good one, I also use '.....pues', ....pues siiiiiii, pues noooooo, 'ya, pues.....' and sometimes '.....pues, claro' Lovely word.

haha. My teacher used to say "pues" after every other sentence, so I believe after hearing it so much, it has become my "crutch" word too.

No, ps...... este.... no sé, neta. hahaha.

"ps" = "pues" mispronounced. "neta" = mexicanism. "honestly"

Madrid is famous for :

O sea....que yo te lo decía, o sea, ya te digo, pero , o sea, es que no ha venido, o sea, qué borde!

This is pronounced in a certain way, only we can to that, lol

I wonder if the Spanish "o sea" is the same as we can use it... certainly "o sea" in México can be stretched in a unique Mexican way. We should try that on Skype sometime haha. - MadderSky, Jul 17, 2010

What was that one fellow saying in chat the other day? He said it didn't really mean anything it was just something you repeat to buy time. I think it was with haber.

I've just remembered, I believe it was either vamos haber or vamos a ver.
