How is "apoderar" conjugated?

In the translation section there is no conjugation offered. Would it follow the conjugation for "poder" or is it something different? Also, is this a commonly used word or not really? Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Hola,

I checked 501 verbs. It's a regular ar verb. cool smile

Poder is an irregular er verb.

I think apoderar is usually used reflexively apoderarse. (to take power) grin

I'ts there but not as a separate entry. Under 'apoderar' - prenominal usage. - samdie, Jun 22, 2010

You and everyone else have been a huge help! - christine2, Jun 22, 2010
Jason, you might want to change your past tense 1st person singular to **apoderé** instead of **spoderé**. BTW, good answer; and, I don't see any egg on your face! - Pajaro44, Jun 22, 2010
Thanks Pajaro! Typing too fast again. :) - Jason7R, Jun 22, 2010

Sure it's common for taking possession of something etc. Also 'apoderar' is like ' to empower'
