New Celebration Threads 10K, 25K, 50K , 100K ....
Good morning everybody
After considering all the thoughts expressed here on the congrat threads for great achievements on this site, we have finally decided (Eddy is right here in Madrid
) to go with this :
Celebration of milestones:
10K -- Silver Membership
25K -- Gold Membership
50K -- Platinum Membership
100K -- King / Queen of the Forum
Unless the members state otherwise, the next celebration will be at 200 K, if you should get there that is really hard, jeje. Any member can of course let me know if he wishes no celebration thread. 
We already have two Platinum members: Eddy and Quentin
However, I have seen some members express their wish not to receive any congrats at all. I think we would all show our appreciation openly to those members, but we have to respect their wishes.
Please read this thread if you are one of those who wish to say "Thanks a lot...but no thanks" to the congrat threads.

I'm very thankful for you and Eddy because of this decision. It implies that now the celebration is more and more convenience and there are not many unnecessary threads.
Since this decision, the thread about Melipiru' 20K is the last 20K thread.
Excellent choices for the levels. I am glad you posted this. After reading the other post I was afraid some people would cancel all celebrations. I may not live long enough to reach any of those levels so I wasn't concerned for me but there are some that do deserve to celebrate their achievements and I was afraid that they were going to go unheralded.
And in case you could not tell, I love to play along, I'm just one of those that likes to know the guidelines! So, Thank you!

Good post. I agree with LateToDinner knowing the guidelines is important.
I like the way you have set it up, the achievement levels are very good, and I think most people would agree.
As you said there may be some members who do not like to be congratulated. After attaining or nearing a plateau, they could send you an email to let you know their wishes.
I really believe that most people would like to be congratulated.
It is always nice when others notice an achievement and congratulate the person for it. That makes the person who has reached the goal feel good, and it also makes the person doing the congratulating feel good.
Well, this sucks... looks like I missed alot when I was gone.

My next target is Platinum but 50K seems light years away lol 
It will be hard work but I will get there eventuallu if I don't give up at least I keep telling myself that lol
Update: only 10K more to go lol At this rate Pesta and I will get there/arrive at around the same time lol 
I suppose this might have gone unnoticed by a few people, (like me.) I found it by searching for the phrase "10K" while trying to find all the ones I had missed.
I think this is a good plan. However I couldn't help myself from throwing in a 'congrats' to the current 20K thread, since I missed Jeezzle's 10K. (Perdóname, por favor, Heidita. )
Sounds good to me - won't be many Kings and Queens though.
But there should only ever be one of each.
So my next target is a GOLD.

Hey What about 5,000? Doesn't that deserve some mention too
At my rate I will be 100 years old before I reach 10,000.
I'll be on the look out for those 200k getters. Surely though there won't be time to post in celebration as their new found superhuman powers will unravel the universe?
