Do you ever feel guilty when killing any bug?
I kill spiders only when necessary but I sometimes feel bad. I always kill mosquitoes and flies and don't feel guilty at all. What about you? Oh... I never kill "cochinillas", they are like small pets and I like picking them up and make them roll on my hand, I'm talking about this kind of bug which I don't know the name in English:

In English they are called "pill bugs" but most people call them "rolly pollies"
I do not like to kill anything. Sometimes I have to kill cockroaches. That doesn't bug me so much, but bees or anything else does. At work we have a real pigeon problem, and they are always trying to get rid of them. I wish there was a better way to deal with it, but one laid an egg today and almost hit someone coming in on the head. They perch in our entryway and they just can't seem to find another place that they like nearly as much.
I don't feel guilty if you are mosquitoes.

First, "cochinillas" are crustaceans; insects have 6 legs and 3 body sections like ants.
I kill ants, roaches, flies, and mosquitoes without hesitation or remorse. I never kill spiders or scorpions because they eat other bugs and are cool. The "cochinillas" I like as well. I also have half dozen geckos running around in the house, killing bugs for me.
Indeed I feel quite good when killing mosquitoes and flies bugging around my head, even more when I'm sleeping or eating. I don't know why flies love being too annoying and don't stop bugging when you're talking to someone you've just met.

I hate bugs..except for spiders because they kill bugs too.. 
I can kill a spider while only feeling a little guilty, while flies and mosquitoes are so bothersome that I don't feel even a trace of guilt. And don't even get me started on ticks... 
Rolly Pollies are so fun to play around with that I feel really guilty when I accidentally kill one. They are even somewhat cute for a bug; like you said, they're almost like pets.
No - I have a plague of ants in my kitchen and I am on the 3rd floor.
Anyone got any ideas what I should do apart from squashing them?
PS butterflies - snakes - moths - catterpillers and even spiders are excempt.
I can't believe you guys are having this discussion. I think most women want all bugs dead, end of discussion. I'm surprised more haven't spoken up. Somehow I think this thread has flown under their radar.

I hate bugs
especially cockroaches. I completely hate them. I really wish all the cockroaches in the world are dead.
Seems like most people don't care for flies or mosquitos. Same goes for me, although sometimes I can't help but think we're being a little unfair. They can't help being what they are and for all the diseases and mayhem they are causing, isn't the impact humans are having on all creatures much worse?
I do not kill insects. I transport most things to safety, spiders and snakes included. I like jumping spiders.
I will reflexively smack biting insects even if they are not eating much.
yeah, they are pretty gross, but you dont go around killing people cause they are ugly, do you? right...
For the sake of discussion, not to disagree with DonVon. So Don you don't kill some bugs because they are cool. I'm glad we don't discriminate people just because they are not cool or looking good...or do we?
