A - Z Supermarket

A - Z Supermarket

votes

I've enjoyed the all the A - Z games on this site and I thought I would contribute by adding one myself.

A - Z Supermarket. This goes for anything you would normally find in a supermarket.

I will start with a Spanish word that begins with "A", then you post a Spanish word that starts with "B", then "C" and so on. Please put your translation in English. Enjoy!

The first word is:

Are there many grapes in the US? - Fidalgo, May 29, 2010
Yes, we have many orchards in California and even Rhode Island. - sanlee, May 29, 2010
That´s interesting to see the word "orchard" for grapes. In England we say "Vineyard" prnounced "Vinyard". England does grow grapes to make wine with - not very nice though - not enough sun! - caza, Jun 4, 2010
I guess we call the vineyards, too or grape arbors. - sanlee, Jun 9, 2010

I don't know the way we cook this - Fidalgo, May 29, 2010
You can cook it, but I've only eaten it raw. It has a very strong, peppery flavor. Daikon is a type of radish, if you've seen that. - mar959, May 29, 2010
