Intrusive software (spell/content checking)
The R.A.E. simply says "feminine".
The above was just rejected by the software when I tried to post it in a comment. For a good while it has been possible to circumvent the obtuseness of the "spell-checker"/"content filter" by including the periods after each letter. It was a pain ("pita") but only a medium sized pain.
If, however, the software has been beefed up (dumbed down) to the point where it will no longer accept any initials/acronyms (because it can't distinguish between words that are entirely in capitals and abbreviations, then, at the very least, guidelines should be provided to explain how to circumvent this obtuseness.
P.S. I also think that whoever implemented this bit of software, should be publicly flogged (but that's another matter).
P.P.S. Since the above was accepted as a post, I can only conclude that, not only is the implementation badly done it is not even consistent.

How many times did we have problems with "all caps" messages before the software was in place?
I don't believe that there were enough such messages to justify the filter at all.
To get around it I place spaces between the letter, e.g., R A E.
I feel left out. To date I haven't seen or heard of the spell checker apart from comments by the rest of you good people. Yet I'm sure I've written oodles of things a normal spell checker would scream and shout about (y'all for instance).

I will try to overcome my revulsion about treating abbreviations that way (and hope that Heidita will not, then, criticize me for using improper punctuation).
