No wonder women are terrible drivers. They don't know red, green, or yellow.

(Showing both versions so that others who are still struggling with the language may also learn from my mistakes. At the least, how could I have missed the "el"s? On my way to the dunce corner and will study the "women colors" while there.) grin

I love men; generally speaking, they are very practical. They may not see all the shades of colors nor emotions, but I truly see them very capable of reacting in one millisecond to any danger that may threaten their loved ones.

Once an intruder broke into our home while we were sleeping, I hid in a closet with our young son while my husband grabbed a baseball bat and ran downstairs, yelling like a wild man. The intruder fled.

At that moment I couldn't care less that my husband lacked the ability to distinguish a rose from a tulip or a soup tureen from a casserole dish. In that instant I understood that we all have our talents and that human beings have to work as a team in order to move forward.

lol, correct - 00494d19, Apr 18, 2010
Better would be blue, yellow and red. Everything else comes from those three. - ian-hill, Apr 18, 2010

This must be a world wide phenomenon. I thought it was only true in my house. wink

I wonder, who comes up with the names of colors? I guess someone with lots of free time.

For some men there is no difference between pink and purple!

The person that named the colors must have been hungry. That is why there is cayenne, plum, grape, strawberry, gum, salmon, mandarin, melon, banana, lemon, lime, honey....

LOL

As a painter, I can imagine at least five hues more for each colour.

El gráfico de Heidi es simplificado.

¡Sólo 2 palabras para rojo!

How about:

scarlet - vermillion - ruby - cherry - cerise - cardinal - carmine - wine - claret - blood-red - flame - cochinal - rose - brick-red

Just off the top of my head you understand.

Not enough time to do the other colours.

You only need three colours red - yellow - blue.

Proof below (Heidi in all her glory, in just 3 colours) Photobucket

I just want to say, I loooove that color scale. I find it's so true! The "Mujer" side, however, reminds me of the expressions that some of my gay friends come up with from time to time. grin
