Help with phrasing using "Gerund"?

Question

Not sure if I use the gerund in this case but to say "living in harmony" do I say:

• Vivir junto en la armonía.
• Vivendo junto en la armonía.

Or are they both wrong?

Our dictionary (word harmony) says that to live in harmony (with) = vivir en armonía or vivir en paz

'Gerund' in English means a verbal noun. There are two verb forms that can be used as nouns in English: the infinitive and the present participle (depending on the verb, either may be used indifferently or one may be preferred). In Spanish there is only one verb form that can be used as a noun: the infinitive. The term 'gerundio' (in Spanish) refers to the present participle when it is used as an adverb. Despite what is said in the reference section, 'gerund' and 'gerundio' do not refer to the same things.

Hi Isabel. I'd use the infinitive for this.

"Vivir (junto) con armonía."
