Online Spanish Radio for Listening Comprehension

Online Spanish Radio for Listening Comprehension

I have seen where many of you are looking for additional ways to improve listening comprehension skills. While it seems that Paralee may begin working on a summer project to address this issue, I thought I would offer a short-term alternative. My local Spanish radio station, out of Washington D.C., offers the ability to listen to their live broadcast over the Internet. I listen to the station whenever I have the opportunity and I have noticed that I am able to pick out more words and understand more of the general conversation topics they are discussing.

Anyway, I will attempt to post the link for El Zol Radio 99.1 here.

This station can also be heard through the radio.com app on smartphones.

If the previous link did not work properly, the text version of the link is: http://elzolradio.radio.com/

Says it's "unavailable from your location". The online stream is probably U.S. only? - rado, Apr 9, 2010
The link worked for me...I am in the U.S. - --Mariana--, Apr 9, 2010

Here's a nice list of Spanish radio stations (broadcasting from Spain) with an online stream, I'm just trying a few and they seem to work nicely!

Be careful with some of the local radio stations, not all the content is in Spanish. - MaryMcc, May 20, 2011

Oh this sucks Dan...I tried to play it and I got - We are sorry, CBS radio is unavailable from your current locations :( I would have loved to hear what the music they play sound like. I always try to listen to Spanish music stations. It's been helping a lot with my listening and I do pick up new words along the way. My favorite station now is : http://www.jango.com/profiles/45348538?l=0. Our very own Fidalgo suggested this to me as we have similar taste in music. The station name is Latin Pop.

There are also radio stations that you can stream through your smartphone. I have an app for "Radio Nueva Vida", a Spanish Christian radio station, that I got from the Android Market.
