Can anybody translate mial/fuser?

In the film 'The Motorcycle Diaries', Ernesto and Alberto often call each other Fuser and Mial - I have no idea what it means and nothing comes up in any translator I use.

It's one of my favourite films. smile

Mial –-contracción de “mi Alberto” (Granado)
