Are there workbooks anyone has used (beginner level) they feel they really enjoyed? I think an important aspect would be to have answers in the back so I can check my own work. Thank you for any responses you can give me!

Practice Makes Perfect has a lot of great workbooks for learning and practicing Spanish.

Here's a link to Spanish Verb Tenses but there are many other books in this Practice Makes Perfect series that are good.

It's from the same series I recommended. Basic Spanish is a very good book for beginners and you can download it on your computer from the link I gave you... wink

I have bought 'The Ultimate Spanish Review and Practice' from Chapters Indigo. It has lots of grammar excercises with answers at the back, with a CD Rom to develop listening and comprehension skills. You can check it out on the Chapters Indigo website.

I just finished the workbook "Easy Spanish Step-By-Step" by Barbara Bregstein and found it very helpful. It covers much of what is in Paralee's lessons and there are hundreds of exercises with answers in the back.
