Sorry I didn't post this earlier....here we go again...

Category: Fruit

I will say the first word that begins with "A", the next person will post a word that starts with "B", then "C" and so on. Please put your answer in Spanish, and provide an English translation.

My Word:

Arándano - cranberry/blueberry

Have fun!

Note: Please click the "Newest" tab to see the last entry so that we do not repeat or confuse the order of letters. Thanks!

  • My dictionary gives "arándano" for blueberry and "arándano agrio" for cranberry. - LaBurra Jan 25, 2010 flag
  • well, I looked it up and I kind've got many different results, but I saw somewhere that a blueberry was arándano azul....but then others said it wasn't, so, I guess I'll just say it can be either! - hlsbookworm Jan 25, 2010 flag
  • I think "arándano azul" makes more sense. Maybe "arándano" is the whole group of related fruits: cranberries, blueberries, bilberries, whortleberries... Maybe there are regional usages. Anyway, we are learning something new! - LaBurra Jan 25, 2010 flag
  • And thanks for the daily A to Z "fix". - LaBurra Jan 25, 2010 flag
  • so, I guess since this is still being finished and is still on the hot list (since I posted it late yesterday) I shouldn't post one for today..... - hlsbookworm Jan 26, 2010 flag
