Mi familia tiene dos mascotas: un gato gris se llama "Jack" y una perra amarilla se llama "Cassie". Teníamos más mascotas incluyendo pajaros, pesces y cangrejos ermitaños.

My family has two pets, a gray cat named "Jack" and a yellow dog named "Cassie." We used to have more pets including birds, fish and hermit crabs.

Tengo dos corbradores dorados, Utah y Molly.

They are, though, more commonly known as Golden Retrievers, including in Mexico.

My Sonoran vet speaks very little English and pronounced retriever the English way. Which suggests that the English pronunciation is common, at least in Sonora where I've seen quite a few of these winsome, polite, and affectionate dogs.

Then, during the summer, Huge wolf spiders hang around where my walls join the ceilings. When I move about, they have a tendency to follow me. I've grown kind of fond of them: they're harmless.

Finally, year 'round, there are alarcranes, (aka, scorpions). I hate to admit it, but I'm inclined to dispatch them to wherever dead insects go.

Maybe they'll reincarnate as golden retrievers?

En nuestra casa en EEUU tenemos una gata que se llama Ardillita.

Aquí en México no tenemos mascotas en la casa, pero alimentamos a unos gatos de la calle. Hay unos nueve, y son requete lindos y amistosos. Tienen nombres - la Pata Salada, el Comandante Marcos, Mango, Van Gogh (le falta la oreja izquierda), Chispa, Negrito, La Sombra Blanca, Blanquita, y Fulano de Tal.

Tenemos un gato: Nikkitty Khruschev, y también tenemos cuatro perros!!!!! Annie tiene trece años y es German Shorthaired Pointer. Hay tres Maltese: Prince Caspian, Princess Solana y Lilly. Lilly fue descuida y se rescatamos.
Amamos todos. No sé como incluir un photo. :(

Yo no tengo una mascota, pero en mi jardin ayer tuve un visitante - un lagarto azul de lengua. (I don't have a pet but yesterday in my garden I had a visitor - a blue-tongue lizard). Annie.

(this is not "my" blue-tongue lizard but very similar to my visitor who was just warming himself on my garden wall. They are fairly harmless and well known for eating dog-food left lying around.
