Anybody think or know if they'll ever make the video lessons and other things Iphone compatible?

  • This is just a review on how SpanishDict.com works on iPhone:

This link will take you to the Apps Store to download on your PC.

  • The program is not SpanishDict.com but an application to help with vocabulary and pronunciation. There’s a Spanish-English dictionary, A Phrases section, The Word of the Day, and then ‘Word Games’

The Word Games, is probably the most interesting feature. You start at level one and you must select the correct translation of a word by choosing 1 of 4 answers. If you make 3 correct answers in a row, you get a harder question – move to a higher level. If you give a wrong answer, you get an easier question – move down a level. There’s 15 levels.

  • You can also have the program save the words you get wrong in the ‘Favorites’ section.

With iPhone, you can visit SpanishDict. online, of course, and you can choose how to see the site, the mobile version vs. the full version

  • The mobile version is just a translator.

In full mode:

  • The video lessons and flashcards in full version don't play on iPhone (really any of the multimedia features aren't compatible.
  • The Forum works fine.
  • The translation engines work fine.

For lesson videos:

Simply go to iTunes (you can't on your iPhone the files are too big) and search for 'Spanishdict' then you can select either the Spanish or English lessons as Podcasts then download to your podcast library.

The video lessons are already iPhone compatible. To get them, subscribe to the SpanishDict podcast in iTunes. I have no idea about other features other than the existing app.
