Have a look at this thread, rent-to-own, which offers some suggestions. Several suggestions, appear more like "rent with an option to buy;" while, others offer more literal translations. By some of the comments on the thread it appears that this idea/scheme (rent-to-own) is not as common in other parts of the world (Spain for instance), and may be a strictly American invention.
Rent-a-center describes the financial terms of the contract as such:
La transacción publicitada es un contrato de alquiler-compra (rent-to-own contract), so I suppose the term could be said: Alquiler-compra
I hope that helps

Hi b100068
I don´t even know what it is in English. Do you mean a "right to purchase".
- It means a person rents a house or something and the money is applied to the purchase price - nizhoni1 Dec 14, 2009 flag
- Well, you live and learn. Just found a web site in the UK. Can´t help thinking it is going to cost more than the standard mortgage arrangement. - Eddy Dec 14, 2009 flag
- Oh yeah, that's the whole idea from the rental company's perspective. It often preys on poor people. - Brett1971 Dec 14, 2009 flag
