Immersion Method ?

Question

How do you translate "the immersion method" (of teaching and learning) ? It is probably not inmerción (like in water) and I suspect it might be something like método enfrascamiento ? I went to a very good escuela in Cádiz where they used this approach all the time. I was only there for one week but want to go back for more . . and to check this translation !

For example:

Las lecciones se dictan en un ambiente contenido, de total inmersión, sin traducir ni usar la lengua materna.
