How can i learn quickly?

I was wondering how to learn Spanish quickly. I have a new Dominican boyfriend and I would like to understand his language. He doesn't speak very good English.

Go to the upper left of this screen and click on "learn Spanish" then don't stop until you have completed all courses. Also, make your boyfriend talk to you in Spanish only.

Having him talk to me in Spanish will be really hard. When he starts talking in Spanish I go blank. I feel very overwhelmed. But I'll do it for him ( : - yrsillyy, Sep 15, 2009

Sorry to tell you, but there is no way that you can learn a language (fluently) very quickly. I do agree to use the tools of the forum. Also, you may want to take a Spanish 101 class so that you can learn other things about the language, such as verb conjugations, spelling, writing, etc. When you start off with a language, you will take off and learn a lot quickly, and then you'll plateau, and then you'll go up again, plateau, go up again, etc etc. As long as you are learning something meaningful to you (what you like, what he likes, something that interests you) it will stick. All in all, have fun and don't freak yourself out.
