..my Spanish teacher told us once that you would say "Te amo" to someone you love--your significant other--and that you would say "Te quiero" to a friend.

  • Right :) ..and you can use "Te quiero" with a partner you have been with for a while too. - NikkiRivera 29 de Ago, 2009 marcar

I have also seen the phrase "Te quiero" or "Te quiero mucho" used in Spanish.

John, if your love is from somewhere in America, you will do well with "te amo", not often used over here in Spain but THE thing to say there wink

Hi John, welcome to the forum smile

Have a look at our flashcards on love too:

Are you in love?

  • It's great that you included lots of flashcards in that set for being angry. I can tell you've been in love before. jeje - Goyo 30 de Ago, 2009 marcar
