Hi Nia,

Do you mean Lesson 1.1? I just played through it and heard everything just fine. What browser and operating system are you using?

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi,

yes, lesson 1.1 in the listen section that it timed where they say the phrase and then you pick the right answer. Not all of it is messed up, it's just like on a few of them, I can't hear it.

IDK - I have windows vista so...whatever browser came with that question

It could just be me, idk, but my sound for everything else in the lesson worked...it just quit when I got there.

Hi Nia,

I think you have Internet Explorer 7 -- that's the browser that comes with Vista. I just played through those flashcards in Internet Explorer 7, and you're right, many of the words fail to be spoken aloud. Specifically, I think any word with an accent fails.

Obviously, that's a serious problem, given the importance of accents. smile We'll try to fix that as soon as possible. If you're in a real hurry (e.g. leaving on a plane for Spain in an hour), you can try using a browser that currently works with the site, like Google Chrome or Firefox.

But yeah, we'll try to fix that ASAP.

Thanks for your patience!

Words with accents are now working correctly in flashcards in Internet Explorer, Nia, so you should be all set. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Unfortunately, words with accents are not yet working correctly with the little speaker icon in Internet Explorer. We're working on it....

Marianne, could you link to the specific flashcards you're having trouble with? Thanks!
