1. (flavorless)
a. bland
Las lentejas están sosas. ¿Les añadimos algunas especias?The lentils are bland. Should we add some spices to them?
b. tasteless
No vuelvo a este restaurante. La comida está sosa y el vino está picado.I won't be coming back to this restaurant. The food is tasteless, and the wine is sour.
2. (unsalted)
This refers to an idiomatic word or phrase for which there is no word-for-word translation.

¿Probaste el estofado? - Sí, y está soso.Did you try the stew? - Yes, and it doesn't have enough salt.
Yo no creo que la paella esté sosa. A mí me parece bien.I don't think the paella needs more salt. I think it's OK.
3. (uninteresting)

Es guapo, pero muy soso.He's handsome, but very dull.
b. boring
Esta película es un poco sosa. - Sí, no pasa nada.This movie is a bit boring. - Yes, nothing happens.
