A noun is a word referring to a person, animal, place, thing, feeling or idea (e.g. man, dog, house).
a. el antebrazo
(m) means that a noun is masculine. Spanish nouns have a gender, which is either feminine (like la mujer or la luna) or masculine (like el hombre or el sol).
Tommy reached into the box to pull something out and scraped his forearm on a nail.Tommy metió la mano en la caja para sacar algo y se raspó el antebrazo con un clavo.
A transitive verb is a verb that requires a direct object (e.g. I bought a book.).

We should share the results of the report with them. At least that way they would be forearmed.Deberíamos hacerles partícipes de los resultados del informe. Al menos de esa forma estarían prevenidos.
