3. (direction)

4. (finance)
a. on
No aceptamos cheques girados contra bancos extranjeros.We don't accept checks drawn on foreign banks.
A masculine noun is used with masculine articles and adjectives (e.g. el hombre guapo, el sol amarillo).
5. (argument against)
a. con
Antes de invertir, examine los pros y los contras.Before you invest, examine the pros and cons.
A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
