Patricia, una estudiante norteamericana que está pasando un año en España, les escribe a sus padres sobre una esperiencia fantástica que tuvo. Completa su descripción con la palabra correct. Decide si es pretérito o el imperfecto.

Queridos padres: Acabo de pasar unos días increíbles. Mi familia española __ ( decidió / decidía)ir a Sevilla para celebrar la Semana Santa. Nosotros __ ( llegamos/ llegábamos)el martes por la noche y las calles y __ ( estuvieron / estaban )llenas de personas. Había un desfile que en la Semana Santa se llama procesión. En la procesión __ (vimos / veíamos) pasos muy grandes con flores y estatuas enormes (que se llaman imágenes) de las iglesias. Las imágenes __ (fueron / eran) muy impresionantes. Había bandas y otras personas que tocaban música durante las procesiones. Y luego ocurrió algo fantástico. Una mujer __(salió / salía) a un balcón y __ ( empezó / empezaba) a cantar una saeta. Una saeta es una canción del estilo flamencso que cantan aquí en Sevilla. Todas las personas en la calle escucharon con atención mientras ella cantaba. Judging by your assignment, it seems you are going over the so-called imperfect and preterit verb forms. If you are unfamiliar with these forms and when to use them, I might suggest the following reference articles:
