1. (used to imitate a blow)
a. bang
Nando vio la cucaracha y ¡zas! le dió con un zapato.Nando saw the roach and bang!, hit it with a shoe.
b. wham
Cuando el ladrón trató de robar a Ana, ¡zas!, ella le dio un carterazo en la cara.When the thief tried to rob Ana, wham!, she hit him on the face with her purse.
2. (used to imitate the sound of falling on water)

Dani saltó del trampolín y ahí fue cuando ¡zas! cayó de panza en el agua.Dani jumped off the diving board and then splash! hit the water belly first.
3. (used to express acceptance)
