An interjection is a short utterance that expresses emotion, hesitation, or protest (e.g. Wow!).
1. (used to express surprise)
a. vaya
Whoa! I certainly didn't expect that!¡Vaya! ¡Eso sí que no me lo esperaba!
b. uy
Whoa! But what are you doing here?¡Uy! ¿Pero qué haces tú aquí?
2. (used to express interest or appreciation)
a. guau
Whoa! That's some dress she's wearing.¡Guau! ¡Vaya vestido lleva puesto!
b. ah
Whoa! Look at that motorbike! I'd love one like that.¡Ah! ¡Mira esa moto! A mi me encantaría tener una así.
3. (used to check an action)
a. basta
Whoa! No more rice. That's plenty for me.¡Basta! No me sirvas más arroz. Esto es ya más que suficiente.
b. un momento
Whoa! Hold on. Are you sure we have enough time to do this?¡Un momento! Espera. ¿Estás segura que nos va a dar tiempo a hacerlo?
4. (used to express alarm)
a. ay
Whoa! Why'd she react like that? I didn't say anything.¡Ay! ¿Por qué reaccionó así? Si yo no dije nada.
b. uy

5. (used as a greeting)

6. (used to halt a horse)
