1. (to put in a marinade)
a. adobar

b. marinar

An intransitive verb is one that does not require a direct object (e.g. The man sneezed.).
2. (to soak in a marinade)
a. adobarse
While the meat is marinating, prepare the vegetables.Mientras la carne se adoba, prepara las verduras.
b. estar en adobo
The fish is marinating in the refrigerator.El pescado está en adobo en el refrigerador.
