1. (culinary)
a. el adobo
(m) means that a noun is masculine. Spanish nouns have a gender, which is either feminine (like la mujer or la luna) or masculine (like el hombre or el sol).

2. (to steep in a marinade)

b. marinar
You have to marinade the ribs for at least four hours before you grill them.Tienes que marinar las costillas por al menos cuatro horas antes de asarlas a la parrilla.

3. (to sit in a marinade)
a. adobarse
