Usage note
In Spanish, the proper noun "Dios" used to refer to a single supreme being is normally capitalized.
mi dios
A phrase is a group of words commonly used together (e.g once upon a time).
1. (religious; used to address God)
a. my Lord
Te ruego, mi Dios, que me ayudes.I'm begging you to help me, my Lord.
2. (religious; used descriptively)
a. my god
La sacerdotisa dijo, "Mi dios no es Alá ni Yavé".The priestess said, "My god is not Allah or Yahweh."
3. (my idol)
a. my god
Elvis era mi dios cuando yo era adolescente.Elvis was my god when I was a teenager.
