a. morning
Hoy no hice mi paseo matinal porque estaba lloviendo.I didn't go on my morning walk today because it was raining.
A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
2. (theater)
a. matinée
Voy a debutar en el teatro en la matinal de mañana.I will make my debut in the theater at tomorrow's matinée.
b. matinee
Solo tenían boletos para la matinal.I could only buy tickets for the matinee.
c. morning performance
La matinal de hoy se suspendió porque dos actores estaban descompuestos.Today's morning performance was suspended because two actors were sick.
