A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (container)
a. kneading trough
El panadero mezcló la harina y el agua y amasó la mezcla en la masera.The baker mixed the flour and the water and kneaded the dough in the kneading trough.
2. (animal)
a. edible crab
El primer paso para cocinar una masera es matarla.The first step when cooking an edible crab is to kill it.
