A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).
1. (lack)
a. deficiency
Hay una marra de uvas Merlot en el viñedo.There's a deficiency of Merlot grapes at the vineyard.
2. (tool)
a. sledgehammer
Se necesita una marra para poder romper esas rocas.You need a sledgehammer to crack those rocks.
b. mallet
Los mineros bajaron a la mina con sus marras.The miners went down into the mine with their mallets.
