intransitive verb phrase
An intransitive verb phrase is a phrase that combines a verb with a preposition or other particle and does not require a direct object (e.g. Everybody please stand up.).
a. to be angry
¿Por qué estás enojado con nosotros? No hicimos nada malo.Why are you angry with us? We didn't do anything wrong.
b. to be mad
Tomás está enojado porque su equipo perdió.Tomas is mad because his team lost.
c. to be annoyed
No la invitamos a la fiesta, por eso está enojada.We didn't invite her to the party, that's why she's is annoyed.
d. to be cross (United Kingdom)
Mi madre está enojada porque le mentí.My mother is cross because I lied to her.
