An adjective is a word that describes a noun (e.g. the big dog).

A masculine noun is used with masculine articles and adjectives (e.g. el hombre guapo, el sol amarillo).

a. Don Juan
La policía arrestó al burlador que seducía mujeres para robarles.The police arrested the Don Juan who was seducing women to rob them.
b. Casanova
Alicia, mantente alejada de Alfredo. No es más que un burlador que quiere usarte.Keep away from Alfredo, Alicia. He's just a Casanova who's wants to use you.
This means that the noun can be masculine or feminine, depending on the gender of person it refers to (e.g. el doctor, la doctora).

Digan lo que digan los burladores, yo sé que tengo razón.Whatever mockers may say, I know I'm right.
4. (prankster)
a. practical joker
¿No ves que este burlador nos estaba tomando el pelo?Can't you see that that practical joker was pulling our legs?
