A feminine noun is almost always used with feminine articles and adjectives (e.g. la mujer bonita, la luna llena).

2. (wool)
a. alpaca Los artesanos de aquí usan tela de alpaca para confeccionar ropa y mantas. Local artisans use alpaca cloth to make clothing and blankets.
b. alpaca wool La alpaca es muy suave y ligera, pero al mismo tiempo resistente y caliente. Alpaca wool is soft and lightweight, while at the same time being warm and hard-wearing.
3. (cloth)
a. alpaca Manuel llevaba un traje de alpaca beige en la boda de su hermana. Manuel wore a beige alpaca suit to his sister's wedding.
4. (metal)
a. nickel silver Mi hija me regaló unos aretes de alpaca muy bonitos. My daughter gave me a very pretty pair of nickel silver earrings.
