1. (third person plural)
a. where they were going
Los exploradores sabían que adonde iban no había agua corriente o electricidad.The explorers knew there was no running water or electricity where they were going.
b. they were going to
El lugar adonde iban era un famoso restaurante peruano.The place they were going to was a famous Peruvian restaurant.
2. (second person plural)
a. where you were going
Aquí dice que va a cerrar la Taquería de Ramona. ¿No era esa la taberna adonde iban a cenar la semana próxima?It says here Ramona's Taqueria is closing for business. Isn't that the bar where you were going out for dinner next week?
b. you were going to
Supongo que ustedes les dijeron a sus papás la discoteca adonde iban.I suppose you told your parents the club you were going to.
